May update - Upcoming Summertime Motorbizzle...
Ok so it's been a while, things have been low key for the past few months. There is one main reason for this...We're going to Detroit, you see.
With all the planning, saving and generally being excited, throwing boss parties has kind of fallen by the wayside. But, we have our eyes on the prize and have a whole salvo of cool shit coming up in the next few months...
On matters radio, we have a follow up SUBJECT DETROIT show, which will centre around the upcoming artist album from the label, featuring fantastic tracks from Orlando Voorn, DJ Nasty, Stephen Brown, Aaron Carl and of course DJ Bone amongst others. We'll be interviewing a few of the aforementioned bods about the album, their views on some burning issues and possibly some other non sensical bits and bobs. Always wondered what Aaron Carl spreads on his toast? Get tuned.
As for nightlife, we have a few shindigs lined up. Rod and Tom will be knocking out another calorific wedge of motorfunction action at the Damage all nighter at Alter Ego on May 29th, just 2 days after our return from 'tha D'. Expect an onslaught of fresh Detroit action.
After that, we'll be doing something rather similar on the 19th of June at Smash Detroit at Moho Live, including a possible techno fuelled boat ride beforehand...watch this space
On that note - As it is (or soon will be) the summer, we thought it fitting to take advantage of the feeling that its going to be sunny when it most likely won't be, so are throwing some boat parties ourselves!
Although dates are yet to be nailed down and confirmed, we're looking to collaborate with other South Manchester associates and rotters, with plans already in motion...these marine missions will most likely be intimate mid-evening jobbies, taking advantage of any sun there might while providing a grin inducing backdrop of bumpin' house and techno...
Furthermore, we'll be hosting room 2 at Leeds techno institution Detatched later in the year. Again, the date is yet to be set, but knowing what those guys are capable of it will undoubtedly be a soirée to remember...

MOTOR - 14.11.08
featuring Systemic (Jactation Records) and Binny (Rehab, Liverpool)First of all - thanks to all who came down for our collaborative blow out with Damage t'other weekend, we all had an absolute stonker with O/V/R playing a set we won't forget in a hurry.
Onwards and upwards however - November's Motor sees us again return to the bricked arches of Josh Brooks with yet another out-and-out banquet of motor city mayhem for your salivating technochops.
Systemic, or Rick Miller as he is known by day, is a fast-rising star of Manchester techno label Jactation records. Making his Motor debut, his refined brand of utterly purist techno and electro is turning heads the world over, his records being charted by the real bigwigs of the scene... including Dave Clarke.
Our second headliner, Binny, will also be making his Manchester and Motor debut. As Detroitist as they come, Binny has been sharpening his sound and style for years over in Liverpool. Co-founder and co-promoter of the 'Alcatraz' night, which although is now sadly no more, showcased the likes of Ben Sims, Deetron, Oliver Ho and Steve Rachmad amongst numerous others.
His fierce, unswerving imprint of stepping 313 dancefloor action has made him a household name for 'proper' techno over on Merseyside, and as such will put on a real treat...think Hood, Mills, Jeroen, UR, Stephen Brown...
